Energy Medicine
Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese form of stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing, balance and well-being. It brings your body and mind into a restful state, similar to meditation. When the body is relaxed, it is easier to sleep and natural healing can take place.
Reiki activates and facilitates the body’s inate healing abilities in how to heal itself on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Rei – means spiritual or sacred. Ki – represents that primal life energy/force of the Universe. Therefore reiki represents that spiritual source of the Universe. If our “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress. If it is high then we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
Seichim
Seichim is believed to be an ancient healing system from Egypt going back as far as Atlantis. It is the western pronunciation for the Sanskrit character meaning Living Light Energy and is used to designate both the energy itself and the healing system using this Living Light Energy. The applications of Seichim in treatments and healing are similar to Reiki, although each system has its own unique energetic produced by its own attunement process and a different set of sounds and symbols. The sounds and symbols of Seichim expresses itself as ecstatic heart energy, whose particular function helps one to overcome obstacles and fears. Where life is, fear disappears.
Reflexology
This is a holistic treatment applied through the feet. It is a non-invasive and relaxing therapy which encourages the body to find its natural equilibrium.By stimulating more than 7,000 nerves in the feet, reflexology encourages the opening and clearing of neural pathways. It interrupts and reduces pain. While stimulating the lymphatic system, thus reducing risk of infection, it cleanses the body of toxins and impurities. It also stimulates the production of endorphins, leading to an improved immune system and sense of well-being. During a session the feet are gently manipulated to encourage smooth flow of energy to each area of the body, for example the head, lungs, stomach and spine. Some pressure is used on these reflex points and some areas will be massaged to help expel blockages.
Reflexology is particularly useful for stress related conditions as it helps to discharge the negative effects of stress and stimulate the body’s own healing. When our immune system is depleted below the level of resistance required to successfully fight a disease then we succumb and become ill. Reflexology not only aids recovery but helps the body to maintain health.
Neurostructural Integration Technique
NST is a relatively new and extremely effective structural and spinal therapy. Simple movements are performed across muscles, nerves and connective tissue. This gentle contact causes the neuromuscular system to reset all related tension levels, promoting natural healing. The resultant effect can be an elimination or reduction of symptoms followed by an increase in energy and a sense of wellbeing. Its application can be suitable and safe for all ages from newborns to the elderly.
